Social work in difficult regions

The non-profit organization People in Need, which receives financial support from the Czech government, is focused on lowering the social and economic consequences of HIV/AIDS in the Karas region of Southern Namibia.
Employees of the organization focus on "social work, psychological and economical support for families affected by HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis". They help foster-families, which care for orphaned children who have lost their parents to these diseases. These families receive their money from the Namibian government. People in Need also teaches volunteers to care for disease stricken people and prepare and execute educational campaigns which use games and lectures about HIV/AIDS for children who have grown-up on the street.
